Sydney author Jesse Fink has recently released one of the most important publications on AC/DC: the eagerly awaited ‘Bon: The Last Highway’. Fink has become something of an AC/DC detective and shines light on parts of the AC/DC story which have always been dimly lit. Music fans around the world have been waiting for this book - and it does not disappoint. On show number 81 of The Australian Rock Show we are joined by Jesse Fink to talk about the new book – a little about his background, and much much more. Essential listening !

Jesse Fink deserves much commending for his massive onslaught to not only put Bon - The Last Highway but also The Young’s - The Brothers Who Built AC/DC
Many years of research going into both books
To some upsetting & to others not so
Let’s face the facts if it wasn’t for Jesse’s unearthing of the somewhat unknown to many fans of Tony Currenti’s involvement with the early days in the studio with AC/DC recording of High Voltage within the pages of The Young’s. Tony would have gone with virtually no recognition but with this enlightening Tony now celebrates his much deserving & rightly so his part in AC/DC’s story.
As for what Jesse has put forward to cop so much flack unjustly within the pages of Bon The Last Highway is caused by suspicion over the death & the involvement Bon had with the album Back In Black. For all the shit being thrown at Jesse over this latest book is completely unjust! I’m completely a Bon Scott fan over many years and have read many other books & couldn't agree more about the involvement Bon had with the writing of what become Back In Black
I mean Hells Bells face facts AC/DC were ready to go into the studio to record the next album so there is no doubt in my mind Bon’s lyrics are on Back In Black. As for the death of Bon, tragic indeed but what is upsetting everyone is what Jesse has put forward regarding the substances other than just booze may have played in Bon’s untimely death. Well if you’re a Bon fan you would have to had your eyes & ears closed to not accept Bon used drugs through out his time. I can certainly only give thanks to Jesse Fink for his in-depth research & bringing all his findings for those that accept & for those that don’t. Rock In Peace Bon
