Released in 1986, Tough Luxury’s ‘Streetwise’ album was chock full of heavy riffs and a hard rocking boogie sound - and sat comfortably alongside LPs by other great Oz metal bands of the time, including Heaven and Boss. Almost 30 years after its release the songs still sound killer, and on episode 35 of The Australian Rock Show – Peter Rich, Tough Luxury’s guitar player joins us and we revisit ‘Streetwise’ in great detail. Peter also talks about Tough Luxury’s plan to reissue ‘Streetwise’ in 2016, and subsequent farewell tour. Tune in to discover one of Australian hard rock’s most under-appreciated albums.
